The ‘NATURE’ of new school design – an evolving concept

The younity school's first campus

The Burpengary Build

The first Younity School campus is at 45 Pitt Road, Burpengary, where old and new structures will weave together with the natural environment creating a sense of belonging and a connection to country. We will create a welcoming and inspiring site that will facilitate physical, emotional and psychological wellbeing.
The design, construction and activation of our school buildings and infrastructure focus on delivering innovative, inspiring and engaging spaces that are flexible to different styles of teaching and modes of learning.
The Burpengary campus will be developed in three stages with our team working closely with the Block Grants Authority to complete works by 2028.
Stage one

School opens July 2024 to support 45 students across years 7, 8, 9. Development works focus on improving and leveraging existing infrastructure on the school site.

Stages two and three

School extends to support 120 students total from years 5 to 9 by 2028. Development works include building a range of new facilities and further improving existing infrastructure.

Nailed It! Construction traineeship program

We could not have got this school open in 2024 without the outstanding work of our Nailed It! construction trainees!

Nailed It! is a Skilling Queenslanders for Work funded program, one of several Younity runs through our Local Pathways to Work program.

Under the passionate tutelage of our Construction Supervisor extraordinaire, Bruce Challenor, these 15 young people have dug and sanded and scraped and painted their way through a Cert 1 in Construction on their way to securing permanent employment using the skills they have honed on site at the school.

the master planning process

Sound educational planning

A comprehensive and up-to-date master plan represents the consultative process which has been undertaken by a school and it's community to guide the future delivery of educational facilities and related services across a school site.

The master plan represents the sound educational planning which is required to ensure that requests for grants are focused on development of educational facilities at the right time, in the right place for a school. Our Site Development Team

Understanding the unique opportunity The Younity School has with an undeveloped site, we immediately went about establishing a team of professionals that could bring this vision to life!

We were after companies that not only had extensive experience in school capital development, but that shared our values of ensuring the space would be welcoming, inclusive, sustainable and beautiful!

We want to acknowledge the skills and passion of our site team.
